Our Main Level includes our Dining Room with large arched doorways, two working fireplaces, and hardwood floors. Across a wide hallway with an elegant staircase are two side parlors. One parlor is called the Mark Twain Room and is used as a small private dining room as well as an area for buffets to be placed for large events. The other side parlor is our tea parlor. It has a full service copper bar and is a living room setting with a couch and several chairs. Both of these parlors have hard wood floors, arched doorways, and fireplaces. This space can accommodate a maximum of forty five guests for a seated dinner and seventy five guests for a cocktail party. If the entire Inn is being used by your event, the Dining Room can make a perfect historic ballroom, and dinner can be served downstairs. This room also allows for a beautiful and elegant ceremony with a maximum of forty five guests.

The downstairs of the Inn is our Restaurant. This area consists of a Pub, Bar, Garden Room, and Patio. This space is a bit larger than the Main Level. The Garden Room is fully carpeted and enclosed in Wine and Crème colored walls, with large patio doors lining one side. This space can seat a maximum of fifty people for a seated dinner and seventy five people for a cocktail party. If your event requires dancing and you would like to have it in the Garden Room, a dance floor (15x15) must be rented at $500.00. The Sunken Patio is enclosed by beautiful gardened walls with a fountain in the center. This space can seat an additional thirty five guests for a seated dinner and forty five guests for cocktails. The patio has hosted the majority of our ceremonies and can accommodate a maximum of fifty seated guests. Brides can enter from the stairs or from the Garden Room and the vows usually take place on the brick stair platform. The pub has a rustic feeling as it is surrounded by original 1793 brick walls and is accommodated with historic wooden tables and chairs. This room is elegantly transformed for events by adding centerpieces, candles, and linens throughout the room. The bar area has a horseshoe mahogany bar with a copper top that can seat ten people at a time. This space is a favorite among Fredericksburg residents for its intimate setting. The Pub can be used for seating, serving a buffet, or as a dancing room.

We offer several different types of menus for special events that include a Heavy Hors D'oeuvres Cocktail Menu, several Buffet Menus, and Plated Dinner Menus. Factors such as the number of guests attending and the type of event you are hosting will help you decide which menu will best fit your function. We can serve up a plated dinner to up to 75 guests, a dinner buffet to a maximum of 150 guests, and we only offer the Heavy Hors D'oeuvres Cocktail Menu for those with more than 150 guests. We do realize that each event is different and we want to assist in making each guest's event special. We encourage you to ask for a customized menu and proposal that is better pertained toward your personal taste. To make a proposal, we do need to know what type of menu you are looking for, your budget, the estimated number of guests, and the type of bar you would like to have open. As soon as we receive this information, we will gladly put a proposal together and send it to you immediately!

To rent the entire house, we do require that the host rents all nine guest rooms as well so as not to disturb outside visitors. These rooms can be paid by the host or by the guest, but they must be pre-assigned before check in by the host to avoid confusion during the weekend of the event. Each floor has a $500.00 room rental fee, but when renting the entire house, the rental fee is only $900.00. We also have a minimum bill requirement which is $10,000.00 for the use of the entire house during weekend evenings (after 4:30pm) and $7,500.00 during weekend afternoons and weekdays. This means that the entire food, alcohol, rental fee, tax, and gratuity must all meet or exceed $10,000.00. When renting individual floors, the Main Floor has no minimum bill requirement. The downstairs minimum requirement is $5,000.00 during the weekend evenings and $2,500.00 during the weekend afternoons and weekdays.
